Library Auditorium

interior of auditoriumThe Park Library Auditorium is a state-of-the-art, fully mediated special event room. It contains seating for up to 140 people, has 1 LCD projector and screen, and 4 coinciding plasma screens. The Auditorium is used mainly for special events such as guest speakers, presentations, and workshops. It has also played host to Governor Jennifer Granholm, numerous musical groups, poetry readings, and film festivals.

Use of this room is restricted to Central Michigan University meetings and events only. If you have any questions about the room please feel free to call the Facilities Specialist at 989-774-1030.

 

 

ROOM FEATURES

NO FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED

A faculty or staff member must be present and be knowledgeable on the operation of the auditorium's high-level media equipment. If there are A-V equipment needs, the Libraries' Facility Specialist is available up to one day in advance for training assistance. It is the requestor's responsibility to arrange time prior to the event for instruction. Library staff are not available to operate audio-visual equipment for events. If assistance in operation of equipment will be needed, the requestor should make arrangements with Media Services or University Events. The Library will not be responsible for any charges incurred.

CAPACITY: 138 seats with additional 6 wheelchair access (144 max.)

SET-UP: Theater style

RECOMMENDED USE: Conferences, presentations, speakers, films

  • 2 - 50" plasma screens on either side of 12' drop down screen
  • 2 - 19" flat LCS panel monitors

  • 1 podium with touch panel; laptop plug in; video/audio inputs
  • network connections mounted on floor and around stage
  • 1 large dry erase board
  • Mediated Equipment (VCR, DVD Player, Mini Disc Player, Cassette Player, CD Player and a Visualizer)
  • 3 wired microphones, 1 wireless microphone
  • Hearing Assistance System
