Case Law includes the published decisions of the federal and state courts. For most states, only the decisions of the appellate level courts are published. The same case is often published in more than one source which results in multiple citations to a single case.

 

Federal Case Law
  • Federal & State Cases - Lexis-Nexis Academic
    Search for specific federal or state cases, using the name of the plaintiff and defendant or a citation. CMU access only.
  • Federal Case Law - Lexis-Nexis Academic
    Search the full text or specific sections of cases, from any of the federal courts, using keywords and/or citations. Dates of coverage vary for each court with some going back to the late eighteenth century. CMU access only.
